Residency Permits and Laws in Qatar
1. The residency permit to any property owner in Qatar is valid for 5
years.

2. Cost of residency permit for personal sponsorships is 352 Qatari
Riyal, cost for companies sponsorship is 1052 Qatari Riyal (check with
the Qatar Embassy at your country as these prices might have changed).

3. If you apply for a visa, your property must be complete and title
deed transfered to your name.

4. Applicant must be medically insured.

5. Direct family can obtain a residence visa on the same property, but
you have to consider the size of your family and the size of the
property, e.g. you can't apply for 5 members of family for a small
studio apartment.


Tourist Visas

Visit visa to Qatar can be aquired on arrival and is available for the
residents of 33 countries including America, Canada, Britain and
Australia (See full list below). The cost is 100 Qatari Riyals which
is equivilant to USD 27. Payment can be made at the immigration desk
and you can pay using Visa, Mastercard, Visa-Electron, Maestro or
cash.
The visa is valid for two weeks and can be further extended to another
two weeks and can be arranged by hotel or tourist operators.
Applicants must have Qatari Riyal 5000 or a credit card, a return
ticket and must show the address of where he is staying in Qatar.
