New release v9.4.1 fixing a bug introduced in v9.4 and adding two new features from the wish list

First of all, Happy New Year! All the best in 2019 for you and your loved ones :-)

Quick Access Popup v9.4.1 fixes a bug introduced in v9.4 affecting the tabs titles of the Add/Edit Favorite dialog box. Update is strongly recommended for users of v9.4. This release also add two new features from the user's wish list. Despite this bug now fixed, recent improvements in QAP are still there, including enhanced windows management that will make the use of QAP more convenient on multi-monitor systems.

New features

- QAP Icon Replacements: add new section under the "More" tab of "Options" to set replacements for QAP icons found in JLicons.dll

- Current Windows Exclusions: add new section under the "More" tab of "Options" to set application exclusions for the "Current Windows" menu (aka "Switch")

- in "More" tab of "Options" dialog box, rename the "Exclusions list" button "QAP Mouse Button Exclusions"

 

Bug fixes

- fix bug in "Add/Edit favorite" dialog box where "Windows Options" tab had a wrong label and "Advanced Settings" tab being not available

- fix bug when, in "Options", "Hotkeys" tab, user cancelled the "Change shortcut" dialog box by hitting "Cancel"

 

Other changes

- for Folder favorites, when "Live Folders" is selected, explain why some options are not available in "Windows Options" and "Advanced Settings" tabs

- internal changes converting QAP icons management, command line parameters and mouse button names using class objects

- update to Dutch language file

Reminder: Users who installed QAP in portable mode (with the ZIP file) and are upgrading from a version before v9.4, make sure you replace the icons file JLicons.dll with the new file v1.5 included in this release. For users of the Setup installation, this is done automatically.

Thanks Laurent for confirming it worked.

It turned out that Sébastien was not replacing the icons he was expecting to be replaced. I updated the FAQ page with images of each logo. This will help:

Also, the help link is wrong in the icon replacements dialog box (because the page was not ready at that time). This will be fixed in the next release (in the next days).
