Hi,

isn't it possible to completely hide the tray menu icon of QAP?

At least I haven't found an option to do this (and I don't want to use a transparent alternative icon (it would still occupy space)...

If it isn't possible atm, could you PLEASE add this feature?

Regards,
Jeraldine Walter

Hi Jeraldine,

This has been asked before but I prefer not to add this option for now. In the eventuality user disable the QAP hotkeys (by human or system error) this tray icon is the only way to return to the Settings window and fix the situation. Also, some options in the QAP system menu (when you right-click the tray icon) would not be available if the icon was hidden.

As you probably noticed, there is an option to replace the icon. See: https://www.quickaccesspopup.com/can-i-customize-the-qap-icon-in-the-notification-zone/

Best regards,

Jean

Hi Jean,

It's a request for an option. For "pro" users. Let the default be: [x] Show tray icon.
If a user decides that he does not want the icon he's free to uncheck that option.
And if he does so he should be well aware that he needs at least one way to access QAPs
menu (which has the option to invoke the settings menu anyway).

It isn't about showing a different icon, it's about to show no icon at all (on user request)...

Thanks,
Jeraldine

Hi Jeraldine,

Thanks for your reply. I'll follow-up with you privately, just not to overload the inbox of other subscribers.
