Hi,
I'm Filippo and I work with Kanban approach.
I'm studying Kanban tools and I'm analyzing their features.

Excuse me, I have some question on Qanban, if possible...

Can I import/export my data?
Could I have informations on:
- integration (with other applications)
- import/export data;
- report (statistics).

Thank you!

Hi Filippo,

I'll be happy to answer your questions. If you happen to publish you're results I'd also be very interested in taking part of it.

The first thing you should know about Qanban is that it's not actively being developed. We might continue working on it at some time (and I really hope to get round to it) but I can not promise there will be more work done on it. As such Qanban is probably the most interesting either if it fits your requirements perfectly in your current state, or if you yourself would like to continue developing it.

Can I import/export my data?

Yes and no. Qanban 0.1 uses HSQLDB (an embedded SQL database) as its storage engine exporting data from it shouldn't be very hard. But, there is no pre-defined way to export the data.

We've discussed adding the export feature as it would help us handle upgrades, backup and integrations better.

Could I have informations on:
- integration (with other applications)

There is currently no integration with other applications. A collegaue created an integration with Github Issues at one point but I don't think we ever used it. As Qanban is open source you are welcome to write your own integrations as needed but it might be hard there are not real documentation for the internals of the application.

- report (statistics).

There is a an early draft of "Lead Time"-statistics in master on Github but no official release. https://github.com/qbranchcode/Qanban

I hope this answers your questions. Feel free to get back to me if you think about anything else.

Kind Regards,
Leo

Hi Filippo,

Sorry for not answering earlier. Guess I must have missed your email during the holidays.

What do you mean by bug management? Do you want to manage your companies bugs in Qanban or would you like to report bugs for Qanban? We use Github Issues to track bugs and feature requests for Qanban, you find it here: https://github.com/qbranchcode/Qanban/issues

Kindly,
/Leo

I just realised that I forgot to answer your question about team support. As it stands right now, support for multiple projects in the same instance of Qanban is not supported. The groundwork for that functionlity exists in the domain-model but there is no UI to support it yet.

Kindly,
/Leo
