Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Lead BI Developer with 10+ years of experience in designing, architecting, and delivering enterprise Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Data Visualization solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel, Data Modelling, and Enterprise Reporting, along with proven experience leading BI initiatives, mentoring development teams, and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.

The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, experience working with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, or Databricks, and a solid understanding of enterprise data warehousing, dimensional modelling, and self-service analytics. Experience within the Insurance domain is highly preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities

·        Lead the design, architecture, development, and implementation of enterprise Business Intelligence solutions using Power BI and Tableau.

·        Design and develop highly interactive executive dashboards, scorecards, operational reports, and self-service analytics solutions.

·        Architect scalable Power BI semantic models and Tableau published data sources supporting enterprise-wide reporting.

·        Develop advanced DAX calculations, Power Query (M) transformations, and optimized data models to improve report performance.

·        Design enterprise dimensional models including Fact Tables, Dimension Tables, Star Schemas, and Analytical Data Marts.

·        Define enterprise KPI frameworks, business metrics, scorecards, and executive reporting standards.

·        Build reusable datasets, certified semantic models, and governed reporting assets to support self-service BI initiatives.

·        Optimize dashboard performance through efficient data modeling, DAX optimization, query tuning, aggregation strategies, and incremental refresh.

·        Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to ensure analytics-ready datasets and high-quality data pipelines.

·        Participate in enterprise data warehouse modernization and cloud migration initiatives.

·        Lead report migration projects between Tableau and Power BI platforms.

·        Establish BI governance, visualization standards, naming conventions, and development best practices.

·        Design secure BI solutions using Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace governance, deployment pipelines, and data access policies.

·        Perform root cause analysis and resolve reporting, data quality, and dashboard performance issues.

·        Partner with business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable analytics solutions.

·        Present analytical findings and executive dashboards to senior leadership and business executives.

·        Mentor junior BI developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and best practices.

·        Collaborate with Solution Architects, Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA teams throughout the SDLC.

·        Support Agile delivery by participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and release planning.

·        Maintain comprehensive documentation including semantic models, business definitions, KPI catalogs, report specifications, and data lineage.

 

Preferred Qualifications

·        Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.

·        10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Reporting, or Data Visualization.

·        Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (Preferred).

·        Tableau Certified Data Analyst or Tableau Desktop Specialist (Preferred).

·        SnowPro Certification (Preferred).

·        Experience leading enterprise BI modernization, cloud migration, and analytics transformation initiatives.

·        Proven ability to influence business decisions through data-driven insights and executive-level reporting.
