moderator policy?

Hi group -

perhaps no one listens to this list, but I've noticed a massive uptick in trashy adult spam to the list, which has gotten quite annoying (actually in other google groups recently as well).  Can the admin of the group think about a more aggressive moderation policy?  Given the rather low level of conversation normally, without a change I'm going to stop subscribing and just occasionally pick through the archive...
