Dear pyxel users,

We of the ISPA Science Organizing Committee, are happy to raise your attention to the ISPA 2024 website. There is a section of the conference devoted to detector modelling. Perhaps you would be interested in submitting your work using pyxel for detector modelling to this conference (or for that matter, any of your other detector work).

If you plan to register for the Workshop, please complete the following form which will help the LOC plan around accommodation/needs for the participants. We hope to collect this information by December 19, 2023. Many thanks in advance!

You may now respond to the Call for Abstracts (deadline: Jan. 18), arrange for Site Access at SLAC,  download, print and hang the poster and share with your colleagues. Make a reservation for your stay at the Stanford Guest House! Of course, book your travel too. We look forward to seeing you in just under 12 weeks. Because it’s that time of year when things begin to wind down, we encourage you to step up and register/submit/reserve at your earliest convenience. Don’t let it become a new year’s resolution!

NB. One item that is still under construction is the registration fee. While we work to complete our Workshop Budget we believe it will be $295/$95 for senior/junior members respectively, plus $85 for the Workshop Dinner. Accurate cost estimates depend upon the projected number of participants. Please help us by submitting your abstract(s) early. We will send out a reminder email again for you to visit the registration fee website to submit payment when it firms up. Many thanks in advance, for your patience!

Important

1) While this is a Public Event, you must still register to visit SLAC as a conference attendee. Depending upon your status/citizenship, you may need to submit documentation. Please go ahead and visit the “Coming to SLAC” tab so you can gather any necessary materials for submission. Completing this step will add your name to the list “cleared for site access” that SLAC Security will check your name against (and be sure to bring appropriate ID at the time of the Workshop).

2) There are some prerequisites to submitting your abstract. You must first register for an INDICO account. This process requires some human intervention and is not automatic, so please allow a couple of days to satisfy this prerequisite. It won’t hurt to apply NOW by pretending to have an abstract already written.

That’s it for now. We look forward to seeing you.

Elizabeth George, Andres Malagon, Paul O’Connor, Andy Rasmussen on behalf of the SOC.
