Hi,

Recently I noticed that several legitimate messages to this group were caught by the spam filter of Google Groups and I had to approve them. (This caused some delay in delivery as GG notified me only 2 days after it put the messages in the queue.)

There are also a number of people wanting to subscribe using email addresses that look like this: LETTERS...@gmail.com  They seem strange, but I am not sure if they are all spammers or not.

I thought that I'd turn on moderation and then allow everyone to subscribe.

Given that I had to approve most messages anyway I think the moderation won't cause any further delay nor any additional work and it will allow me to approve each new subscriber without trying to verify that they are not spammers and without the fear of spam getting in.

What do you think?

Gabor
