Applications of different Wavelet Families

I am working on breast cancer detection using thermograms but don't know which DWT families will work good for my image transformation. Can someone suggest some families according to my area of work.

It is not my field but in the worst case, you can use ensemble technique in a way that make a library of wavelets and investigate the performance and finally select the best suited. also, we have some techniques such as qualitative and quantitative that allow you to select the appropriate wavelet according to different criteria.
