Designing your own wavelet Similar to Matlab

Hi All,

 

My name is Gunjan Naik and I am PhD student from Pune university, working in the field of Image processing and Wavelets.

 

Can I include my own wavelet(custom wavelet) into PyWavelets ?

Yes, you can specify your own discrete wavelet filters.  See the following documentation link:

This is Gunjan Naik ( from Gmail id). I want to use 'pat2cwav' function (http://in.mathworks.com/help/wavelet/ref/pat2cwav.html?refresh=true) which creates wavelet from pattern.

So is there any similar function in Pywavelet? or Can you tell me how can I write this function in python?

We do not currently have any equivalent to the pat2cwav Matlab function in PyWavelets.  Also, PyWavlets currently only supports discrete wavelets, although there is an open PR to add continuous wavelets.

Hi 

How can I use pat2wav for orthconst method? All examples are for polynomial method where we define the polynomial degree. 

I am not sure what should  I use for orthconst.
