wavelets for periodic signals

Hi all,
I want to deal with periodic signals.
Simplest example: a function on a circle defined then on [-pi,+pi[
I would like to have the wavelet wrapping in this space. From an analytical point of view I have no doubts (look "Trigonometric wavelets for time frequency analysis" (free access) or "wavelet analysis on the circle" (no free access...)), but here in pywt framework I have no idea how to act.
If it's not clear I can provide pictures.

So right now I did a terrible trick that apparently gives me what I want...
Now a question for the developer: are you using dyadic basis? (this is quite important to me...)
