15ht EUMETSAT User Forum in Africa - 13-16 September 2022, Tanzania

Dear Pytroll colleagues,

 

As discussed during the MTG/EPS-SG User Days back in June,  the 15th EUMETSAT User Forum in Africa is taking place from 13-16 September 2022 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

As of today, 53 African NMHS have registered to the Forum, as well as various regional centre (training, climate, etc). It would be therefore an excellent opportunity to interact with the African weather&climate community, and to present Pytroll and how it could support their servies, but also providing their (young) personnel to develop towards better use/visualisation  (ownership) of satellite data on this continent.  

 

There will be a session on Data access on the Friday 16 September 2022. We could accommodate a presentation of the Pytroll tool as part of this session. Let me know if you are interested in it, and who would come.  There will be also the possibility to make demonstration in the Lobby area of the conference centre, where coffee will be served (just outside the plenary room).
