Problem with Himawari in Satpy

I’ve started using Satpy version 0.51.0 recently and all my scripts for MTG, MSG and Goes are working fine. However I cannot get the Himawari one to work. I get an Overflow error that I have not been able to solve. I attach a text file which contains the error and the lines preceding it. Can someone provide me with a hint where to look or how to tackle this? The script I’m trying to run worked fine under a previous Satpy version (if I recall correctly 0.41?)

Thanks for reaching out!
From what I see, I suspect the error comes from an upgrade of numpy to version >= 2. Not that we shouldn't fix satpy for it though... but numpy is more strict when it comes to data types.
So in that line with computation of loff, I guess we need to change the types of some of the elements.

Is this something you want to try out?
In any case please open an issue in our github repo, so that we have it registered somewhere.
