to pytomation
I figured out the SSL issue I was having with Chrome and Android. An Android system update ended up up giving me a better error. The cert needs Subject Alternative Names set now. After reissuing the cert with that, both Chrome and Android accept the SSL cert as secured and verified. To do that you, of course, need the Pytomation host name set to that value and that host name set on your internal DNS.

The newer Chrome mobile now allows for speech recognition, on a secured website, as described above. To take advantage of this, I updated the web app to behave like the Android app, in Chrome (Firefox, needs another update).

Now that the hosted website works just like the Android app, even in Android, I'm debating sunsetting the Android app. I won't be using it anymore as using Chrome directly is much more secure, with the same features.
