Almost certainly, based on the similarity to most spam emails. I
wouldn't recommend giving them your details.

All the best,

Definitely a scam, and given you gave a tinyurl link which points to a
different hacked domain every time its clicked, This makes me a little
suspicious of where you got the url........ In any case I've reported the
short url as spam to twitter, and removed your mail from our archive to
prevent the link from being indexed. I've also contacted the admins for
the hacked sites to let them know they have been compromised.

After further examination I cannot find any previous mail on the Python
Ireland list as you claim, and am forced to come to the conclusion that
you are in fact the source of the spam. Unless you can point me to the
mail on the list where you found the link, I will be banning your account
from the group by the end of the day.

My apologies to Darren, looks like the message had been previously
scrubbed, and thanks to James for the catch.

Hi All,

Just a friendly reminder (if you didn't see the other email about the meetup), that the venue has changed to "Against the Grain" this evening.
It will be in the private room upstairs.

I deleted the email from the groups as it was spam, hence the lack of
reference. I also reported the email for spam with google, who as a
result ban the user from the group. My apologies for adding to the
confusion here. For the odd spam email that's gotten though in the
past, I've always done this so that the spammers don't get the benefit
of getting their links indexed by google and archived here.
I see now that the sender of the email as been "unbanned" and can post
again so I'm assuming Sean or someone else on the list was contacted
by him to gen unbanned? I should no doubt have contacted him to
confirm that the email address in question had not been spoofed or the
account hacked.
