Hi All,

On behalf of the organisers, I would like to announce that we are planning to host Pycon Ireland this year.

It's still in its early stages, but we would appreciate it if people would fill out this form to confirm if you can attend our very first conference on Sat, July 17th. This will at least determine how many people we'll expect to turn up to the conference.

The plan is half a day for talks. We also plan to have workshops on Saturday morning and sprints on Sunday.

Other people to contact about conference:-
- Brian Brazil
- Kevin Gill
- Alan Kennedy
- Michael Twomey

Cheers,

/// Vicky

Is it correct that the form only has a "yes" / "no" and "Any other comment"?

Should that not be input as a comment?

Yes, it's correct; Does Saturday July 17th suit or does it not, is the question.

Other comments can be anything you like, I suppose :-)

Alan.

Ok, I've updated the form, apologies for confusion.

         http://bit.ly/pyieconf

The reason why we didn't ask for names because we only need the numbers interested in the conference so we can see what costs are involved.

Registering yourself for the event will be available once things are more or less setup, which would be as soon as we can.

Same for call for paper submissions, we'll announce that separately as well.

If anyone who thinks that their company is interested in sponsoring Pycon Ireland event, contact me directly at whykay[at]gmail[dot].com

Cheers,

Hi All,

So far so good, 32 people registered their interest so far. So keep spreading the word to other people, Pythonistas or no.

We'll discuss about it in the next meetup, which I hope are talks.

So again, if you or anyone else you know who might be interested in going to Pycon Ireland (Sat July 17th), fill the form so we get an idea on head count.

Here's the form - http://bit.ly/pyieconf

Cheers,
