Can't create Promoted Post AdCreative

Can anyone help me attach an existing post to an Adset?

I've followed the instructions at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/marketing-api/reference/ad-creative

to create an AdCreative from an existing post on one of our Facebook pages. 

Unfortunately it fails with the following message

Message: Call was not successful

I've tried the same command with an URL but that just returns a list of existing IDs

Hi Tim!

Were you able to solve this issue? I am still getting the invalid post ID years later on Facebook Graph API v6.0
