Hey All,

We've encountering an issue where maya does not load required node plugins when opening files, .ma or .mb, and so the nodes are unrecognized, not evaluated, and rigs become invalid.
The plugins are all accessible in the maya_plugin_path, show up in the plug-in manager window, and load properly via script or gui. There are hints that the 'requires' lines (or their binary equivalent) aren't being written into the maya scene files. There's also a theory that some user-prefs corruption causes these lines not to be written.

Any ideas?

Does the require lines show up in the ma version? Should have a line with requires "plugin_name" "plugin_version".
