Hi, all! I'm trying to get the word out on this, so I thought this
might be a good spot, too.

Osipa Entertainment, LLC has just gotten into selling tools for use in
Maya. To get more people aware of what we do, the first one is FREE!
It's a tool called uMen (your menu) which allows for easier running,
creation, editing, and distribution of MEL and PYTHON scripts. It
handles script paths for you (MAYA_SCRIPT_PATH, PYTHONPATH,
MAYA_PLUG_IN_PATH), has search functionality, keeps a list of recently
used scripts, and generally makes life easier when working with
scripts in Maya.

Its a lightbulb thing. At first its easy to look at it and say "I
don't really get what the point is"... then, all of a sudden you
realize how much lazier you can be, and how much faster you can get
scripting tasks done and then the lightbulb goes "BING!", and the joy
begins. Check it out!

Thank you sir! I love uMen and am reading up on your documentation
tagging. Looking forward to using the autoWikis too.

I'll post more questions here if I have any.

The place I copied/pasted my message from had put "..." in the link to
the tool page. Here's a good link to the uMen page:

Wow, this looks amazing. However I've just installed it on my mac
(maya 2009) and some of the UI appears to be clipped out. Want me to
send some screenshots of the problem?

Thanks! This script will save me weeks of my life!

Hi, Debug!

Unfortunately, we don't have a mac (or unix/linux) machine here so
there has been no verification on anything but XP. The goal is to get
it working on all platforms, we just need to buy ourselves some more
boxes before we can do it. If you do any debugging yourself, and care
to share, we can roll it into the public release for sure!. -J.

Hi-

I've had a quick look through the code and although I'm very new to
the MEL/Python (and code in general) the problem seems to be stemmed
from the resize it function.

Cool, thank you - another person ran into a similar thing and sent me
some pics. Should be fixed in the next version.
