I have been facing issue in Maya 2012 which is not showing image plane in viewport 2.0 , is anybody solved the issue or can suggest any workaround for this, i cannot switch to any other versions like Maya 2013 or higher(working properly in these higher versions.)

It's possible that image planes simply aren't supported by viewport 2.0 in Maya 2012.A workaround might be to put a moving texture onto a plane parented to the camera instead. In 2.0 the texture would be high-resolution enough to match that of an image-plane.
