yeah that trick is great for many cases, but our studios rig has multi referenced rigs with some tricks were used to make the rig woked and maya doesn't update dependeny well enough.
that's why I want to transfer uv to the main surface

Transfer UVs to the intermediate shape and freely clean the history of the intermediate shape node, you would be surprised when you see that it didn't break your rig.
Also as suggested use caches, it will make your pipeline flexible. But alembic will carry uvs, so you need to update your rig and the best way is the intermediate shape trick.
