Hi I have 

 1 to 40 apple_geo

I want to rename them "apple_1"     to  "apple_FK_1_CON "

all of 40 apples ?

How to rename in python for maya ?

Hi, 

Please take a look at the rename command:

http://help.autodesk.com/cloudhelp/2017/ENU/Maya-Tech-Docs/CommandsPython/rename.html

There are examples at the bottom. Maya has a special case where if you do "name#" then it will expand # to the next number that makes the name unique. 

If you still have trouble, try and post the snippet of code so we can offer suggestions.
