Moving this thread to the mailing lists.

I have heard about Google Code shutting down, but I haven't taken any action on it yet. It is probably time to get organized.

On a slight, but relevant tangent, I haven't been as involved with XBees and this project as I once was; I find myself drawn to other interests. I imagine this community would benefit from a more active maintainer.

Would anyone be interested in setting up a new clone on BitBucket / GitHub and taking over maintenance of the project? Maintenance tasks include things like reviewing and accepting contributions, keeping an eye on the mailing lists and bug tracker, and occasionally publishing stable code as new releases.

I will stick around on the mailing lists and would be happy to help ease the transition.

Hi Paul,

Given that Google code is EOL, what are you planning on doing with the python-xbee project?

There are a number of forks on github but none that looks like it has much traction.

I ask as I've done some (quick and dirty) work on getting it to work in micropython and was wondering what to do with the changes.

Cheers.

Were there any volunteers?
