APSW 3.53.4.0 is now available. The project is at

APSW is a wrapper around SQLite that provides all SQLite API functionality in Python. It is not DBAPI compliant as it provides SQLite semantics. sqlite3 provides DBAPI semantics. You can see the two approaches contrasted at

Blob implements io.RawIOBase allowing use by other modules expecting file like objects, such as compression. Several methods and attributes are added, and Blob.write() now returns the size written (used to be None). (APSW issue 623)
