I had soco set up to allow me to use a zwave button to do simple tasks.
Button 1. Set volume to 75% on a particular zone then play rhapsody 80's rock on that zone.
Button 2. Stop playing music on that same zone
made it so I didn't have to fire up a sonos app and do multiple button presses.
After Sonos 10.2 update all functionality is broken.
I've tried searching and am not getting a good sense as to whether this has been fixed. Can someone let me know current state of soco.
I think I found something that said that soco can no longer start a music service stream (additional security, requiring authorization or something of the sort). Is this true? Maybe make the music service a favorite then have soco launch the favorite or something similar?
I'd really like to fix my simple set up. I really liked the simplicity of the zwave button.
I was using a zwave script to launch a eventghost event that would launch a python script to start the stream.
In the past when sonos would do updates the functionality would break and I would have to sniff (wireshark) the exact syntax of the event and update the python script. This no longer seems to work (or I haven't been able to get it to work at least).
Thanks,
Roveer
