Hi all,

Our next meeting is next week on Tues May 28th and I'm still looking for a second speaker. Is there anything you've been working on recently that you think would be interesting to present to the group? Do you have a coding problem that you're stuck on or would like advice on? Also, are any of the ElectricWorks members available if we have the meeting at ElectricWorks on that night?

Thanks for your help,

Daley

Hi Daley,

I could give a talk on what I've been working on in Oxford. Expect it to cover some things like API design, modular flask applications, perhaps something about Solr too.

Just checking with people here as it would mean me working from Sheffield on Tuesday.

Afraid I can't be much help with the venue :-)

Thanks,
Dave,

Hi Dave,

This would be a really interesting talk thanks. Would 60 minutes be enough for this? Can you give me a title for it?

Thanks for your help,

Daley

Hi Daley,

Electric Works no problem for next week's meeting.

Gary/Liam/Ian: Although I can stay for the whole meeting, if any of you are
expecting to attend I'll leave early...

cheers,

Andrew.

I don't know, 60 minutes is a long time... perhaps 30mins + questions?

As for a title:

"One year in Oxford, 4 projects, 3 API's, 2 apps, and a knighthood"

Forgive the vagueness I need to draft the talk first, I guess it will be mostly about building an API for the new University mobile application. However depending on what people are interested in I can meander, subjects like Python in IT Services, API design, Solr/Lucene as a primary datastore, building [modular] JS clients.

Cheers,
Dave,

ps. sorry Daley, my non-gmail account complained about google groups so I think I may have spammed you :-)

There are plenty more lightning talks from PyCon if we want to fill some time. ;-)

Hi all,

Is someone able to bring along a HDMI cable (Andrew)? We won't need any speakers this time.

Thanks for your help,

Daley
