pentru instalare se poate folosi urmatorul url http://pypi.python.org/pypi/fdb
sau pip 
pip install –upgrade fdb

interesant ... desi am auzit de firebird nu prea am intalnit tutoriale sau persoane interesate ...
oricum e bine de stiut.
