Aeon Keyfob _battery status

Hi ,

I am using Aeon keyfob- gen5  for sending scene event  . Its battery powered device . Is there any way to send/get  battery status command from python api ?

Not directly but you can implement it. Look at like this PR (https://github.com/OpenZWave/python-openzwave/pull/50) to see how this contributor added thermostat support. It can helps you
You can make also add tests to help you in your devs. Look at https://github.com/OpenZWave/python-openzwave/blob/master/tests/api/test_switch.py#L99

Hi ,

Thanks for your response .

Let me try your suggestion . But before that , i would like tell  that i am not using direct API and i am using libopenzwave-LIB

I think here ,the objects are accessed through libopenzwave like libopenzwave.,Pymanager , libopenzwave.PyOption
...

It would be good to get the battery level through LIB


I also tried with getvalue( ID to the value ) API , it gives right value, but i am  not sure how to get the ID of value from nodeID
