Since the Web took off in the 1990‘s, Python has been at its heart. Google, YouTube, Reddit, Wikipedia and many others have had Python at their core. This month, we’ll look at why Python has been a key language of choice for web development.
The talk will cover a brief history of the World Wide Web, its underlying technologies and its standards. We’ll be looking at the Web Server Gateway Interface (WSGI) and its impact on web development in Python and beyond. And finally, we’ll look at what Python may have in store for web development today.
This talk is aimed at anyone who’s interested in Python, the history of the Web and web development in general.
