The install instructions for Python-MIP with Gurobi did not work for me. I had to set the GRB_LICENSE_FILE environment variable as well, even though my license file is in my home directory. When I use Gurobi outside of Python-MIP it has no issue finding the license (as it says in Gurobi's docs this is the default place it checks). Would anyone be able to help me understand why I had this issue?

I posted this question on stack overflow as well so hopefully more people will find it.

Ok, so setting the GRB_LICENSE_FILE variable actually didn't help - I just hadn't gotten far enough with my debugger to see it error out. Anyways, could someone have a look on stack overflow and let me know what else I need to do to install Python-MIP to run with Gurobi?

Looks like the issue is not that I can't run Gurobi through Python MIP but my Gurobi license no longer allows for multiple models that can access Gurobi to be in memory at the same time. I'll take it up with them. Sorry for the bother!
