looking for free BUFR data

Hi,

as you may know I have been writing a module to access BUFR files from
within python (see http://code.google.com/p/pybufr-ecmwf/).
For testing purposes it would be nice if there was on online source
where I could point to for downloading free of charge (and preferably
recent) BUFR files (without requiring registration procedures). The
actual content is not really relevant, as long as it provides some
kind of meteorological measurement data.

Does anyone on this list know if such place exists on the internet?

Here is a first site I found on the open internet that provides data
in BUFR format:
http://www.nws.noaa.gov/mdl/synop/products.php

The website says the files contain Model Output Statistics (MOS), so
not really what I am looking for, but I have not yet tried to open
them to see what they contain.
