There are several important things you need to consider IMO
01. Take a look at market and the demand. Both Local and Online. There are many things language like Python can do. You can't do all that since it would take years. Each of these fields has their own basics and concepts to learn, apart from programming skills.
02. Regardless the language you plan to study you need to learn about programming basics. Data Types, Variables, Loops, Statements, Operators, Data Structures etc etc. First learn the concept and then practice these in the language.
03. Start studying the language focusing on latest version. If it's Python then go with Python 3. Start doings small practice projects.
04. Join various communities and forums. Talk with others and read about common problems and things.
05. Also take a look at market and see which projects and fields has a high demands. Study about these days. Join those freelancing websites and look at project which are available.
06. Learning is very easy these days. Google search + Youtube give you 99% of what you need.
