Hi all,
It's nearly that time again - anyone have anything they want to give
a talk on or demo of?
Plan so far for this month
091 Labs at 8pm then off to the Salthouse for 10pm!
What happened last month
Jonas did himself some damage not long before the meetup and wasn't
able to give his talk on ZODB so instead we decided to put on some
videos from PyCon US after grabbing some food from Supermacs.
As more people arrived during the evening, the videos became shorter
as everyone was planning to head off fairly early so short clips
were agreed to be a better idea. In the end, this lasted way longer
than planned =P
- Deep Freeze:
building better stand-alone apps with Python
- WTF is sugru?
- Lies, damned lies and statistics (about TEDTalks)
- Aimee Mullins: It's not fair having 12 pairs of legs
- William Kamkwamba: How I harnessed the wind
- Dean Kamen previews a new prosthetic arm
- Ze Frank's web playroom
PyCon Ireland - Sat 13th & Sun 14th October
For those who want even more Python in their life, PyCon Ireland
is taking place next weekend! Sadly, I won't be able to go as we're
moving 091 Labs to a cool new location but I'm hoping some of ye
will go so I can live vicariously through your adventures!

They have a great lineup of talks and speakers including our very
own Michael Kerrin! =)
Cheers,
Padraic
