Hello!

Today I released a new python3 package called ssf, which will format values using an Excel-like Number Format.  It is based on a similarly named package written in JavaScript.  It handles numbers, fractions, dates, locales, and pretty much anything you can throw at it.

Here is the link to the docs: http://snoopyjc.org/docs/ssf/index.html

Note: It is self-hosted for now, as somebody is camping out (but not using) the name "ssf" on pypi.  (Details here: https://github.com/pypa/pypi-support/issues/655 - maybe you can give me a thumbs up or comment on that one!)

Enjoy!
