Dear all –

Rune and I have just had a status meeting on his PhD work, and as his
advisor I had to ask him not to spend too much energy on the PyCSP/
Python-CSP merger, but rather to go a head with the further
development of PyCSP!

This does NOT mean that we don’t still support the merger and thinks
that it’s a good idea, it simply means that Rune has to spend his time
furthering the work in relation to his PhD. I will try and recruit
some MS students to address merger issues from our side, but Rune will
spend most of his time doing new and hopefully exciting work for the
last year of his doctorate.

I hope you can all understand this prioritization.

Cheers,

Brian

Hi Brian,

of course Rune should concentrate on his own work, and any help your
MS students can provide would be very welcome. I hope that Rune would
be able to contribute to the discussions about the merger, even if he
will not have time to contribute to the actual development work. One
of our concerns is to make sure that we don't "lose" anyone's work in
the merger and Rune has clearly made substantial contributions to
PyCSP.

I'll be on holiday for the next few days, then on business travel,
I'll be up and running again in early Sept.

Regards,

Sarah
