Hi everyone,
I'm looking for an old DOS fashion text coding library in Python (using basic character drawing routine and screen capture / pasting). The aim is to bring an old DBAse WINDOWS sofware to Python.
I have check for several library (including curse and ncurse) but none of them seems to allow "screen content capture" to display it again later (eg: after the "popup" of a selection box). Text based interface does not really offer "popup", (1) you take a copy of screen then (2) draw the popup and handle actions finally (3) restore the previous screen state and continue processing. This look simple and obsolete but quite convenient for old procedural software.
Does anyone have a library to advice or a personal experience to share about porting OLD fashion DOS software to Python?
