I'm a beginner too, but I could make it work on windows11
I have made a small repo for a quick start
https://github.com/AlainCo/python-prolog-demo

I don't remember much of what I did, but I wrote:

  • check that you have the required environment variable described in pyswip documentation. Here is the usual values for the 64 bit version installed the standard way:
    • SWI_HOME_DIR=c:\program files\swipl
    • LIBSWIPL_PATH=C:\Program Files\swipl\bin\libswipl.dll
  • Create a virtual environment as usual
  • install the requirements with install_requirements.bat
  • build the packaged application with build.bat
I made it to be packaged with pyinstaller (it's the most complicated)...

Hope this helps

GREAT!!!!!   THANKSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!
IT WORKS!!!!

I just was missing the name of the library. It means, I wrote:
  • LIBSWIPL_PATH=C:\Program Files\swipl\bin
without dll name!!

FIXED!!!  THANKS!!!!
