Hi Everyone,
I've snagged a speaking spot at
http://pygotham.org/ in NYC in September to talk about PyStar and specifically about organizing Python workshops aimed at teaching women in a distributed fashion. If any of you all who have been organizing workshops would like to participate with me let me know so we can create the presentation together. I'd love to see any and all of you in New York City that weekend whether you want to participate in that speaking slot or not so we could get a chance to have a meal and talk shop, brainstorm ideas for the future. One action on my plate is setting up a Django site on Bear's server to point the
pystar.org domain at and also doing some curriculum updates specifically on the Django portion -- creating the pystar site should help with this :). I've also been collecting other online resources so as to add a page aggregating all of that.
If you can't make the conference but can provide me with any survey info from your local workshop(s) so that I can put that into a couple of slides I'd appreciate it.
Cheers,
Lukas
