A few weeks ago I was called upon to give a talk about unit testing and how IWS should be doing it.
In order to achieve the maximum amount of procrastination, I decided that I should write my own text-based presentation software.

Born of that was about 100 lines of code that did some funny things to your terminal, but ended up showing a list of strings sequentially, and centered in your terminal.
Eventually it grew into Prysenter (http://git.io/prysenter), which now has colors (ANSI), sound effects (^G), transitions, and automatic slide advancement for timeboxed lightning talks or PechaKucha.
I daresay it's the only presentation software that can be used over SSH and not require X11 forwarding.

As of tonight, it's available on PyPI: pip install prysenter

Death-by-power-point-edly yours,
C Nelson
