This happened this morning after I fixed the Windows 10 desktop icons disappearing issue.
It is maximized. None of the View>Layouts tricks have had any effect.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you fix it?
Thanks in advance.

You can try the following to reset layouts:

Find pyscripter.local.ini in your %APPDATA%\pyscripter directory (%APPDATA % is the value of the environment variable) and delete it.  Then restart Pyscripter.

In other words, open a command prompt and do:

>cd %APPDATA%\PyScripter

>del PyScripter.local.ini

Hope this helps

Thank you. Deleting PyScripter.local.ini had no effect. In the upper right corner of the PyScripter window, there are only the minimize, maximize and close buttons...no double headed arrows one usually sees when placing the cursor on any of the window's edges.

You can try and dowload the latest zip PyScripter distribution from  PyScripter - Manage /PyScripter-v5.2 at SourceForge.net. Unzip and run the included PyScripter.exe.  Does it work?

I may have misinterpreted the question.  You say you cannot resize the window.  By default PyScripter is in maximized state.  If you press the maximize icon on the top left, then the state changes.  You can always drag the window from its title.  Once you move it you will be able to resize it from its now visible borders.

Now why didn't I think of that (dragging the window by its title bar) to start with?
That worked like a charm

Warm regards

Hello, I tried the latest zip PyScripter distribution but it couldn't find the Python 3.13 installation. I uninstalled PyScripter and reinstalled it using the PyScripter-5.2.1-x64-Setup.exe which solved the problem.

Strange, since it is the same executable PyScripter.exe.   The zip distribution works fine here with Python 3.13.
