Hi Guys

I an new to PyScripter, Django & Python.
Have just downloaded Rpyc and installed per instruction (unzip to C:
\Python25\Lib\site-packages)
Tried run>python engine>remote (per instructions) and get the
following error message:

"The Rpyc module is not available. To use Remote Python engine
download Rpyc from http://rpyc.sf.net and install it."

What have I done wrong or what do i need to do additionally to make it
work!

Help please!

Thanks

Make sure that pyscripter is running against the same python installation that Rpyc is installed for.

In your interactive shell (inside pyscripter) run
import Rpyc

and see if you get an error, if you do you haven't installed Rpyc for the correct python installation (2.3, 2.4, 2.5 etc)

As I can see you message was posted after 28/06/2008, you may have
doen what I just did and downloaded the 3.0Rc1 rpyc. Due to
Sourceforge's epic interface fail (it didn't used to be so rubbish
btw.) you have to click where it says "main" on the RPyC download page
and you will see the other versions. You need 2.6. The one for python
3.0 doesn't work if you are using 2.5 (as you should be if new to
Python!) so just get the normal one.

Using RPyC makes Pyscripter a whole lot better than it already is!
