Hi,
My application's target OS is Centos53.

I have just attempted a build under linux but couldnt compile the
wrapper. This is not surprising since I was translating the Windows
build commands.

If it's been done under Linux, could someone share how it was done.

thanks
timb

Tim,

I would love to get this working under Linux. The trouble is that the
NI DAQ Mx driver for Linux does not support any USB DAQ's and that is
all I have access to.
As I understand it, anyone who uses USB DAQ's in Linux has to use the
NI DAQ Base driver instead. If you want to build a SWiG wrapper for
DAQ Base I would be glad to include it in PyRWI.

Me too - I am only familiarizing myself with it all under Windows
because that's where everything 'works'.

I am using a USB6211 and I can confirm that it does operate in under
linux, somewhere on the NI site I saw that it is supported under some
RHEL's and SUSE. When I say it works - well the driver detects it and
the national tools report it being there, and it's serial number. But
there are no test panels to check the basic functionality.

I have yet to test the C examples. But that is coming maybe today.

Certainly there is only the base driver and a quick hack and compile of
pyrwi against it reveal less than 100 error messages - it doesn't look
too disastrous.

If I get anything together I would be happy to hand it back.

Hi,
Just built the NI C samples and ran them. It looks like at least the
analog input samples work (conAcquireNChan).

So the NI library works with USB and Centos53.

Now pyrwi...
