Hello,

New to pyroute2 and linux so bear with me.  I'm able to manipulate the host interfaces via IPRoute.  How do I get these changes to stick after reloading the host?  I'm guessing I need my changes to update the /etc/network/interfaces file?

Cheers,

Brian

Hello, Brian!

The pyroute2 project right now is just a library to provide an API towards the kernel. It's not a tool like NetworkManager.

If you want, you may write a script and hook it in the rc.local, though it's not the best solution, probably :)

But I plan to release a CLI in January that one may use to set up the system on the boot, like other tools.
