When out with the dogs earlier in the week I was cutting down sumach saplings about 50' away down a hill so I left the sheep to the care of the dogs.  Twice I heard my male, Pierre, bark at the sheep which he only does when the sheep are being stubborn.  Each time I walked up the hill to see him bringing them out of the forest and back into the open field.  I guess he likes them where he can keep a head count on them :-)
