Hi,

I have a 3D image and a 3D ROI but want to extract 2D features. If I customise the feature extraction with "force2D" and "force2Ddimension" I get a single feature, which I am unsure of how to interpret.

Is this single feature:
- an average 2D feature over all slices?
- a 2D feature from the largest slice?
- something else completely?

Cheers,
James

In a way, it's an average across slices. The entire 3D ROI is used, but only the offsets that move in-plane (i.e. not between slices) are used when calculating texture matrices. It does not affect shape or firstorder feature calculation.

Joost
