How to hide ImageView timeline region?

Hi!

I am trying to find a way to hide the timeline region in ImageView. I can hide the timeline itself by using this:

self.ui.roiPlot.getPlotItem().hide()

But only the timeline goes away, the region is still there and using lower part of the whole window. I noticed in the source code that the region is part of a Qsplitter. But I cannot seem to force resizing to collapse the lower part of it to zero

Can someone help?
