Scatter Plot with Connecting Lines

Hello,

Is there a simple way to have scatter plot with both lone points as well as points with connecting lines? I like the speed that the scatter plot gives me with large data sets but I need some points to be connected as if it were a normal plot.

Any help is appreciated.
