Hello all,

I am using the latest Pypsa-Eur version for sector-coupled studies and net-zero scenarios for 2050. Recently I am getting negative carbon price "mu" value in global_constraints after the optimization. Does this indicate some discrepancy in the model or settings I am using, or it indicate some other thing?
The plot of the values I get is attached here. Reff case is based on 2020 values with no constraint on CO2 emissions, while other scenarios are net-zero scenarios using greenfield scenarios for 2050.

Best Regards,
Umair.

Hello all,

Is it possible that the sign used for the "mu" value in global_constraints is changed in the latest version of pypsa-eur? I downloaded the result files of the paper" The potential of hydrogen network in Europe" from Zenodo, and there, the "mu" value of global_constraint is positive. I also tried to delete the current environment and downloaded the current master branch, but for any simulation for both electricity-only and sector-coupled studies, no matter what limit of CO2 is set in the config file and which year is selected, the "mu" value is negative after optimization. Any help in understanding this will be highly appreciated.

Best Regards,
Umair.
