Hello Everybody,

I'm thinking about restarting regular meetups for Pyowa - I've got a location that will allow us to do in person and live streaming - if you are someone or know someone who would be interested in helping to organize, present, or just attend please let me know. Hopefully I will be seeing you all in the not too distant future.

Thanks,
Matt

Good afternoon Matt - Thank you for the update. When will the next Pyowa meetup take place?

Hey Matt,

I would be interested in attending via live stream most likely and when time permits, in person.

Best regards
Curtis

Nothing is officially planned yet, I hope to have our first meeting in January, but stay tuned.

I'd be interested in attending a live stream. Unless you suddenly moved to northwest Iowa...

I haven't made it to a meeting before but would be interested to attend.

I would be a bit nervous about presenting as I'm sure others are better python programmers than I but my experience may be unique enough that some may learn something. I wonder if there are other things that could be done instead of presentations. I was wondering about a programming quiz or puzzles or discussion sessions where people can jump in on a prompt like "what would you like to see in future python versions? or what new approach have you tried that worked or didn't?". Some of these may take more preparation than a presentation though. I figure it is just nice to get people together with some content and a chance for people to chat and get to know each other.

Is there a list of things previously presented so we don't cover the same ground?

I think doing some activities like what you're describing are great ideas. We do have a list on the website (https://www.pyowa.org/meetings/) of prior topics, however, the group has been inactive for long enough that revisiting those topics may not be a bad thing because I'm sure things have changed and the people attending probably also will be different.
