problem in pyodbc - <type 'exceptions.ImportError'>: DLL load failed

Hi, 

I have installed pyodbc on my laptop(link shown below)


However, "import pyodbc" is not working.

When I type pyodbc under help(), I get error.

help> pyodbc
problem in pyodbc - <type 'exceptions.ImportError'>: DLL load failed: The specified procedure could not be found.

Can you please tell me why pyodbc is not working> I have Python 2.6 installed on my laptop

I'm going to guess the vcredist DLLs are not installed, which has been a royal pain since Visual Studio .NET (I think).

What version of Windows are you running?
